Why not just use a tape recorder?

I thought this too! Let me tell you a little story about my experience.

I did a search around my house and dug out my tape recorder. But here is the beginning of all my challengesЕ

Have you ever used a tape player?

The sound quality is horrible. And if you make a mistake, trying to edit is difficult and it sounds dreadful. Plus when I tried to play music in the background, the music sounded distant and canned.

So I decided to ...

Record my affirmations and vision
using a CD recording program.

I searched on the internet Е unfortunately for many, many confusing hours, looking for the perfect recording program.

Something that was not going to cost me an arm and a leg!

Alas Е another challenge! All the programs that I found were soooo technical. They gave toooooo much techy info. They showed scary techy pictures. Yuk!!!!!!!

УInput/Output, bitrates, modes, parameters, kpbs, pitch-timbre, line-in, stream applications, sampling rates, MPEG Layer-3 encodingФ.

There were also choices to make about equalizers, morphers, noise reductions, robot voices, special effects, stereo mix's, fade in, fade out's, etc ...

And I needed to worry about tempo, pitch, frequency, pan or overdub changes.

And worst of all, they had confusing instructions like:

УTo make sure you have constant of variable bit rates from 8 to 320kbps with optional crc error checking and joint stereo modes Е click hereФ or УThe Wave encoding at sample rates between 6000 and 196000Hz in PCM or many other codecs and bits or soft synth implementationЕЕФ

Ahhhhhhh ... all this techy stuff .... many confusing words and choices! It's enough to give you a headache!

All I wanted to do was record my voice, combine with music, and make a CD! I wanted to spend my time actually listening to my CD rather than trying to figure out how to make it!

I was very confused and frustrated! I just didn't know which program to choose!
